Village Board Meeting Tonight

Posted by Bill Sarto on June 17, 2008

We will be holding our second regular Village board meeting of June this evening at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall. I would like to invite you to come and see your elected officials in action. If you have anything you’d like to say, there is a period of time at the beginning of each regular meeting that is dedicated to “public comments”. This is your chance to speak up about your local government. All comments must be directed to the entire board and not to any one individual member and all comments must be respectful and on topics that are directly related to Village business.

Last night we had a special meeting of both the Village board and the Audit & Finance Commission. The purpose of last night’s meeting was to get more information on the building of a new Public Works Facility. The Audit & Finance Commission will meet to further discuss this matter on Thursday, June 26, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall. The new Public Works Facility isn’t an option it’s a necessity. We currently have 2 million dollars of equipment sitting outside in all kinds of weather. This is unacceptable. This shortens the life span of the equipment and is very foolish economicly. This is equipment that YOU the taxpayers have paid for and this equipment will have to be replaced sooner than normal if we do not provide adequate storage space. We wouldn’t dream of allowing our Fire equipment to sit outside. Our space needs are real and must be addressed with real answers.

    Hello The President Sarto,

You mentioned that you would not print any posts of people who do not give their real name. Yet I see the posts you have are of people with just first names or not their real names. You even featured a comment from the anonymous blogger “Chryssipus,” who was exposed to be Don Keller, a political ally of yours who you urged in an email to stay anonymous to help your political campaign.

And if you need help figuring this out, “Iplar Lofo” is an anagram for “April Fool.”

Since I did not give you my real name, will you please now keep your word and remove all of my posts from your blog?

I’ve decided to allow any and all comments that are respectful. I’ve reconsidered my earlier position and decided that it’s more important to get feed back than to have a person identify themselves. April Fool, I did know that your name was not a real one. I also suspect that your posts were not sincere. But that’s up to you. I’m offering you and others the opportunity to directly contact me with your feedback. How you or others use this opportunity is up to you. If you merely want to waste your time that’s your choice.
